The Raleigh Area Development Authority (RADA) is a 501 C(3) not for profit community economic development organization.

Founded to provide financial and counseling assistance to low and moderate income residents of the City of Raleigh, North Carolina, RADA has been designated a HUD Housing Counseling Agency by the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and, an Emerging Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U S Department of the Treasury.

The mission of the RADA Homeownership Center is to increase the rate of successful low-to-moderate homebuyers through comprehensive education services, information and long-term support.  As such, a significant part of the Homeownership Center’s mission is to create mortgage-ready buyers, reduce present mortgage delinquencies and make financial education accessible to as many individuals and families as possible.

By addressing barriers and increasing the rate of homeownership, the Homeownership Center aims to build stronger families and communities throughout Raleigh and surrounding areas.

Financial support for RADA’s programs is provided by the City of Raleigh, local banks, corporations, and Federal agencies.
